Greta M. Grossman's design career lasted forty years: educated at the Stockholm art school "Konstfak", she founded her studio there in 1933 and later moved to L.A. Her iconic designs, such as the famous floor lamp "Gräshopper", shook up the then male-dominated midcentury design.
Like no one else, Gubi knows how to snatch grandiose furniture from oblivion and make it popular again. Since the Salone, the series of iconic designs by Greta M. Grossman has been complemented by the "GT Lounge Chair", the "GMG" recliner, and the "Modern Line" table and sofa. Perfectly eclectic, the Danes showed the designs created around 1950 in the neo-classical Palazzo Serbelloni.
Staged in the Palazzo Serbelloni: Under the window the sofa of the "Modern Line". 2818 euros.
